I just finished putting together my “Best Of” post for 2011, set to post on Saturday. It was hard to choose, but also really fun to look back at the past year. I made a list of 15 or so posts that I want to read again and again. Until then, I found another link up, another Year in Review, that’s all about the number 12. Twelve words or pictures to sum up your year. How could I resist? (Hosted by the lovelies, Jessica of Four Plus An Angel and Ashley of My Front Porch Swing.) Plus, a little poem inspired by Mama Kat and her Writer’s Workshop.
My year… in Purple.
P is for persistence that got me through the year.
U is for you my loves, my friends, my dears.
R is for reality that slapped me in the face.
P is for the positive; the pleasures and the peace.
L is for the life I’m so thankful to be living.
E is for everything that 2012 will bring.

Kallaydoscope is my view of my world. It’s colorful and intriguing and also, kind of a mess, if not always highly entertaining. Kaleidoscopes, in motion, are always changing, and with every turn they somehow become more and more beautiful. That’s the goal; in life and in this blog.

Fabulous poem and those photos are priceless! I love that Royal Wedding shot!!
I bought those tiaras at Meijer for $1 and haven’t had the heart to throw them away yet. Hello, #Hoarders?
That poem was just too sweet, loved it.
And your girls are adorable! Here’s to 2012 <3
Cheers to that!
Such amazing photos and brings back lots of memories of the baby days with my two who are now 4 years old already. That first year is such a blur, looks like you have made it, which is no small feat.
Thank you! I was getting teary eyed going over the past year. It’s crazy how fast it’s all gone by.
Love, love, love this post! Your daughters are beautiful!
Thank you so much! I think so too, but I’m biased.
What an incredible year you’ve all had!! Congrats! And Happy New Year too!!!
Thank you! Happy New Year to you, as well!
What a wonderful post. Also…you are such an inspiration to me…because no matter what happens you always look at the positive side. I admire that very much…just thought you should know.
This really means so much to me, Shana. I used to be such a negative ninny, always complaining and spouting off about one thing or another. Granted, life was pretty crappy to me, but I still could have chosen a better attitude. The Happiness Project *literally* changed my life. I highly recommend the book to everyone.
What a year. Makes me long for just one more (or two) babies in the house. Wishing you all the best in 2012.
Congratulations on making it through the year! And I love your poem and list of words for each month. Have a wonderful 2012!
What a lovely {creative!} wrap up!
Happy 2012 to you and your’s!
